I had lived, as have most, in the reality I had chosen, based on the information I had been given. As the pillars that had supported my paradigm were shattered by the tsunami of revelations dismantling my holographic world, I wrestled with the cognitive dissonance it created. Now with the depths of deception rising, an uncontrollable tide rips and tears at the fabric concealing centuries of disguise. The rise and fall of man-made kingdoms is encumbered by the illusive pursuit of the temporary as the eternal is sacrificed. This shift, this chasm created through the unveiling of the multilayered illusion, this assumed reality, forces us to choose to either pursue the unknown yet to be discovered, or lean into the decadence of the familiar. Having gazed upon both it is impossible to settle for the ordinary, the mundane, and the trappings of life in its cadence of the temporary.
