After the tragic death of Naomi Judd at the age of 76, the country music world mourned one of the greats. She fought for decades to find peace in her own life, but as one half of the mother-daughter duet The Judds, she made listeners want for a better world free from hatred and division when she wrote the 1990 song "Love Can Build a Bridge."
Naomi publicly discussed her suicidal thoughts in a 2016 interview. "Think about your worst day ever-someone passed away; you lost your job; you discovered you were being deceived; you learned your kid had a rare condition-you can take all of these things and put them together, and that's what depression feels like."
Sadly, Wynonna Judd and Ashley Judd, her two daughters, connected her death to the long-term mental health issues she had.
