Brief Description

What would happen if two distinctively unique periods of time collided? If 19th century colonialism came to ancient Egypt?

Grace Lees is a product of her society; snobby, spoilt, yet deeply unhappy with her life and its lack of purpose. When she travels with her father's regiment to Mixalar, the last remaining independent city in the newly colonialised Ancient Egypt she is kidnapped and held hostage by Pharaoh Zuberi, renowned for his brutality. Imprisoned in his palace, Grace fights all attempts at communication, even trying to orchestrate her own escape, but Grace slowly learns that Zuberi is a dedicated and much-loved ruler of a thriving community.

Whilst Grace's father rapidly attempts to muster reinforcements to liberate his daughter, he is slowly losing control of his regiment to the devious Captain Edmund Harrison who is intent on getting his hands on the Mixalarn riches, in the hidden Valley of Treasures, even if the cost is Grace's life.

Slowly Grace falls in love with the city of Mixalar and it's Pharaoh and when the time comes for the two sides to face off, Grace is torn as to where her loyalities lie.
