今年應「政府山關注組」之邀在香港大學展出了她的兩首英詩:“Ode to Government Hill” 及 “The Missing Twin: the Old Star Ferry Clock & Queen's Pier”,均已收錄於此書中。
From "A Basic Course in English and Poetry":
“…. for a foreign student learning the correct usage of the English language, it is important to remember that language must be learned and used. Memory comes from frequent use. It is also important to remember that there is beauty in simplicity. Often the best English is clear, plain and simple English which is stylistically rich in the use of appropriate figures of speech poetically. Poetry, after all, is the soul of any language.” – Libby Wong
Richard ENG, co-founder of Beacon College
Students taking the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) examination will find this book particularly useful, as there is an elective topic called “Learning English through poems and songs” in the Writing paper. The more they know about poems and how to appreciate poetry, the more ideas they will have, which will translate into a higher score.

Libby's book takes us through the broad spectrum of the language, from the simple rules of grammar to the more complex facets such as derivation of words from other languages and distinctive forms of speech peculiar to English. She offers sound advice to the serious student: read, listen, speak; and, let me add, practice as well.
