About this Series
This series, The Mystery of History, is designed to promote self-discovery and admiration within a young child. Just like my grandma did for me; these books bring to life the great civilizations humanity has created from the perspective of a young child. The series is centered on family and community as well as discovery and innovation. Its composition promotes intellectual curiosity and an excitement for history. This is the first book in the South Africa set for children ages three to nine. This volume provides a fundamental introduction to the country as well as its land and water formations. The proceeding volumes delve into South Africa's history and its people.
About these Books
The South African set starts with book 1, Zola Discovers South Africa, an overview of the country as a whole. Each of the next three books explore a time period of South African history, giving the child the history of that time period and focusing on human needs in order of hierarchy.
Book 2, Zola Discovers South Africa's Beginnings, focuses on the need for food, shelter, and defense.
Book 3, Zola Discovers South Africa's Teen Years, focuses on the ability to work together to solve conflicts and to develop workable rules and government.
Book 4, Zola Discovers South Africa's Innovation, focuses on the need for art, culture, and innovation.
